I literally show up, climb in, and buckle up! So grateful for my diligent aviator, always prepared and dialed in. It takes a ton of effort to become a pilot, then real commitment to stay proficient. Logbooks, maintenance files, night currency, IFR practicing, weather briefings, oil changes, enduring meows from the kids on Guard frequency, reading forums, chatting with ATC, and runs to Aircraft Spruce.
Not to mention: jacket puller-over, potty break stopper, windshield cleaner, cooler packer, audiobook downloader, tablet charger, checklist runner, truck parker, pillow packer, suitcase hauler, door opener, window tint warmer, HVAC controller, time traveler, speed demon, seat belt tightener, tie-down expert, and always with a stash of Built Bar puffs on tap—while staying awake the whole flight, folks! Somehow he makes it look easy.
I feel grateful for all he does and think I should pitch in more, but then he kindly reminds me it’s okay, “Cause you’re a princess.”
